Thanks,

Cool pop up, did you ever find the hub cap? I'm looking at a. wheel Camper trailer and it's missing both hub caps.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Mike

ReplyDeletei have your hubcap. Just checked the garage. I was the previous owner.
ReplyDeleteAnn we are about to purchase the camper and would love to be able to get that other hubcap!
ReplyDeleteAh, memories!!! Just like the one my family owned. We didn't have a AC unit in ours though, and there was a heater next to where the AC is in yours. We had a fridge right inside the door, just to the left. Wood and floor was the same as yours. We lived in ours during our move to Arizona from Michigan in 1970. My Dad bought the WC new in 1968 in Dearborn, Michigan, and sold it in 1982 after they bought a truck and fifth wheel. The old WC is still owned by the people Dad sold it to (they're classic car people). I'd love to own one again, but haven't had any luck finding one.

ReplyDeleteDoug Medeiros I remember the Wheel camper Hub cap on the Contiental Kit on the rear and it also had a Lazy Susan built into the passenger side next to the stove.........to access the outside........Does anybody out there know who the hub cap manufacturer was? I have a pair of 10 1/2 Aristocrat's and was wondering who made those?

ReplyDeleteHi Kiley,
DeleteSorry, I just saw this comment. Were you able to find help setting up the camper? If not, feel free to message me and I'll help all I can.
Can you post a high quality, close up picture of the Wheel Camper sign on the back of the camper? Ours is missing and we want to have it remade, but need a really good picture of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

ReplyDeleteHi There! We just purchased a 1969 Wheel Camper. I was excited to find your Blog! I can't find you on FB. I tried entering your link / What is the name of the Group??
ReplyDeleteWe purchased a used Wheel Camper in the mid-80s, and used it until the mid-1990s. We have had it in storage since, and are just now spending time to get it back into working order!
ReplyDeleteLoved our 1969 model, not as big as yours, but Wheel Camper's biggest model at the time, 6 sleeper. No AC or back dinette, but same color scheme. Family camped first week in August in Assateague State Park from 25 years. Open flaps made it a cool oasis just over the dunes from the crashing waves. Snapping all those canvas snaps was a competition.
ReplyDeleteSo I just bought a 70 wheel camper and looking for help as I'm a Manuel. Can't find any numbers on the trailer poor frame. Please help
ReplyDeleteI have 9 of these hub caps and would like to know their value please?
